SUM doesn't see the ASCS and therefor stops with error

When I want to perform a stack update on our ECC environment with SUM (version 10 patch 1) after the SPAM update question it comes with the error that the system is in unsound state cause it cannot see that the message server is running in the ASCS01 instead of the DVEBMGS00.

So I tried to disable the ASCS by renaming the profile and hashing out the ASCS in the sapservices file from /etc.

But that the message server starts but the disp+work crashes.....

So 2 questions.

- Why doesn't  SUM see the ASCS message server?

- Why is disp+work crashing while trying to disable the ASCS to start in favor of SUM.
