In ESS/MSS attachments are not working when using IE11

Hi

When we are trying to open an attachment in ESS in IE 11 , it gives page cannot be displayed.

But when i open it in IE 9 , it open properly.

We are on ECC-EHP6 on Linux RHEL 6 systems on Oracle 11.2.0.4 database.

Can someone let me know why why attachments are not opening in IE 11
