Dear all,
i'm implementing SPS16 on an Ecc 6.0 EhP6 (from SPS3) but phase MAIN_TRANSEXEC/PARMVNT_TRANS is really slow and, in the latest 5 hours, logs in dir /SUM/abab/temp were not been updated. I've currently 10 tp.exe processes on os level (Win Server 2008 R2) and both the SAP server and DB server (MSSQL) are very low on resource usage (<5% cpu, < 60% ram).
SUM configuration is the following one:
Batch Processes Uptime : 8
Batch Downtime : 10
SQL Process uptime : 8
SQL Process downtime : 10
R3trans uptime :8
R3trans downtime : 10
R3load process uptime :8
R3load process Downtime 10
parallel phases Uptime : 8
parallel phases Downtime : 10
In dir SUM\abap\tmp i've 10 files PA*_PARMVNT_TRANS.<SID> but they're not updated anymore and i don't know how to check if the SUM is still working or not. Before starting i've updated tp and R3trans to latest and reduced loglevel on database, and i'm not using a shadow instance. SAP system is stopped at the moment (downtime).
- how can i check and be sure if the SUM is working or not?
- if not, is it possible in this phase to stop it (kill all tp processes, kill sapup processes) and restart it?
- Which is the best and correct way to stop the SUM process and restart it without, is possible, losing all the work done?
Thanks a lot for your help and advice!
Andrea
