after a system copy, i ran BDLS. Due to performance issues i had to cancel the job.

Now i'm trying to start BDLS again in test mode. At the end of the program the system is giving a message:

'Logical system name is not valid... rename your system following the name convention <SYSID>CLNT<CLIENT>

Message Nr. RSAR819

The old name of the system was P1BCLNT035 ,  i created a new RFC-Destination K1BCLNT035.

what should i do about that ?

Hi,

Following SAP-documentation, users should not work in the source client during a  client copy because this could cause inconsistenties in the data.

Before starting the copy I use the SM04 to make sure that everybody has logged out. How can I prevent users from reconnecting during the copy process ?

i want to install a indipendend sap teststing system (Netweaver 7.4).

I installed the system and the installation was finished completely. But i can not see SAP_APPL on the system?

For the installation i have used Software Provisioning Manager 1.0 and following options

• SAP NetWeaver 7.4
• MS SQL Server
• SAP Systems
• Application Server ABAP
• Standard System

Do i need to activate it in transaction SPRO or have i used the wrong installation medium?

I am upgrading a NW 7.3 JAVA only instance using the SUM 1.0 SP9 patch 7 tool.  During the specify credentials phase I am getting the following error:

"The sapcontrol service certificate is not trusted for host XXXXXXXX, instance 0. For more information, see section "Verifying the Service SSL credentials" in the SUM guide."

I have done many upgrades using the SUM tool and have never seen this error.  I looked for a relevant note, but could not find one.  Any help on how to get around this would be greatly appreciated.

Looking for info on how to make a correction after serious implementation issue.

Consultant did not follow "best practice" and during ECC 6.0 upgrade, rather than upgrading our existing ECC 5 dev and quality box,  he created NEW dev and quality boxes which were both DB restore copies of the same system, and then changed the SID, DBSID, and hostname of the systems!

Now I have ECC6 DEV and QAS boxes that have the same exact system numbers!

Example:

I go to SLICENSE and my hardware key, installation number, AND system number are identical in both systems....

Problem is now the numbers don't match in the service marketplace, and my solution manager is doing strange things.

To get a license to work, I need to download from martketplace, and then manually edit the notepad file to change the sys number. 

Is there a way to change the system numbers without having to re-create my systems since we JUST inherited this after a Go Live?

I am also opening an OSS note but any insight from someone who may have dealt with this issue would be much appreciated.

We are trying to implement Union Budget Changes in our QA Server. Standard process PDF file is with us and it is telling that we need to change in Domain PIN_SLTYP via se11. But it is asking for Developer key and object key. Object key we can generate in SCCR key generation on SAP web site but Can we create new Developer in QA Server? Will it be effect licensing terms. We have only 1 developer License..

Or I  can perform same steps of Domain editing in Dev Server, it can be but no request will be generated. So How do I transfer to quality?

I also want to change export directory(Where all exported files are created). How can I do that?

I updated SPAM to the latest version of 7.02/0047 before I patch SAP_BASIS & SAP_ABA. During the patching, I opened a new window doing some operations, and the system got frozen. So I used the task manager to stop the process and logon the system again. However, when I wanted to use SPAM to continue the patching, it popped out the error as follows.
