Could you tell me the affected scope of changing the profile parameter "rfc/callback_security_method" value 1 to 0?

Few days ago, I faced the problem that occurring the Internal Kernel Error "RPERF_ILLEGAL_LENG".

To solve this problem permanently, it's need to change the kernel patch level to the latest version.

However, It is necessary to discuss in our team before change it.Therefore I can't change it soon.

Now I'm going to do the workaround changing "rfc/callback_security_method" 1 to 0, according to the Note 2002096.

However, when I change this parameter,I concerned  that the accuracy RFC connection is lowered, or occurring that something bad effects.

If you know about the demerits of change this profile parameter, could tell me about it?

We have BW system with ABAP and JAVA.stack.

ABAP :  -> with 2 application server

JAVA :  -> with 2 application server

Java system have 2 application server with each have 4 server

nodes.Total - 8 server node

Out of 8 server node, in Visual admin 4 server node jco connection

gateway points to one ABAP application server and another 4 server

node points to another application server.

to avoid the gateway connection traffic to single ABAP application

server, gateway distributed across app. servers

In Java system, visual admin -> Jco connection -> BI Portal jco

connection (ABAP - JAVA Integration) .

But when ever system re-started. setting maintained in Visual admin ->

Jco connection vanished and all server node point to PAS (not

distributed).

Could you give us the location where we can maintain these settings

permanently and remain same even after the re-start.

In our production sap system,Transport requests are missing in Import history.Even though they are present in the import queue.The same transport request is present in both imort queue and the import history of quality.

Please let me know what might be the reason behind it.

I'm using SUM 1.0.11.5 to update a dual-stack Solution Manager 7.1 system to SPS12 on Windows.

In the Configuration phase, after entering the SAPService<SID> credentials in the Java tab for the Input OS service user credentials (WIN) step for both the PAS and SCS instances, I receive the error 'Host name <scshost> does not belong to any instance in the cluster.', where <scshost> is the hostname of the SCS instance.

I've raised the trace level to DEBUG and SUM\sdt\trc\SUM.trc shows:

i have a Problem. I try to install the SAP Download Manager in Windows 8. I installed the latest JRE 7 (Version 7 Update 17) 64Bit also 32Bit.

When i start the Installation (install.exe) the following error occurs:

I'm in the process of installing language packs for our CRM5 unicode system.

After successfully installing Chinese(ZH),Dutch,Italian, I got stuck in the Portuguese (PT) language.

When I execute the import through SMLT I receive the following Error :

Hi Experts,

We have configured SMTP through scot by giving mail server IP & port 25. We asked mail server team to add our ECC ip as trusted ip.

But Mail server team is saying that authentication is mandatory and they will provide user id & password for that purpose.

We tried to convince them but they are not accepting as per their policies.

Is anyone knows how to configure SCOT to send external mail with the authentication in mail/exchange server.

I am using PI 7.3 and found that ESR and ID response is very slow and also I found that CPU utilization is always 99% (user 70%+ and system 20%+).
I have restarted system twice and also cleaned the cache, but still this issue persists.

Error analysis

    An exception occurred that is explained in detail below.

    The exception, which is assigned to class 'CX_SY_DYN_CALL_ILLEGAL_FUNC', was

     not caught in

    procedure "SPAM_SYNCHRONIZE_PAT03_TEPSIN" "(FUNCTION)", nor was it propagated

     by a RAISING clause.

    Since the caller of the procedure could not have anticipated that the

    exception would occur, the current program is terminated.

    The reason for the exception is:

    The program "SAPLSPAM" contains the CALL FUNCTION statement.

    The name of the function module to be called is "OCS_SET_ENVIRONMENT".

    The termination is caused because exception "CX_SY_DYN_CALL_ILLEGAL_FUNC"

     occurred in

    procedure "SPAM_SYNCHRONIZE_PAT03_TEPSIN" "(FUNCTION)", but it was neither

     handled locally nor declared

    in the RAISING clause of its signature.

    The procedure is in program "SAPLSPAM "; its source code begins in line

    1 of the (Include program "LSPAMU27 ".

After the error occurred in i have just back to the SAP Easy access code, then again try to run the T.code SPAM then the above said error occurred. so please suggest me how to solve the same

I have checked the DEFAULT.PFL file it contains the below information.

I am using SWPM for the installation.

I did create a service like a lot of others in SICF.

But if I test the service it is not reachable.

On saving the service I always get the error SHTTP009, which is something regarding http request-handler - but I have no clue where to do what?

The service on which it is linked works and the service is activated.

Does anybody have some tips?

Port and host should be ok, as other services are working fine.

I have installed a Eletronic Invoice Application using SAPJCO version 11.

This application call RFC for execute a function to format a XML file.

But this process returns with error when call the RFC.

Hi all,

We have a very strange problem. SAP GUI 7.30 patch 11, on Windows 7 does not refresh its printer list.

A new printer was installed, and old one removed, but when you try to print something you see only the old

printer.

How is that possible?

It seems SAPGUI does not detect the new printer, or it writes the printer list somewhere, where

it has no write access anymore.

Computer restarted - nothing!

Hello,

I was running SPAM for HR support packages. Tried to run test import but every time it get stuck on the  same phase. It create datafile file but not able to create corresponding contol file. Its being more than an hour but co file is not created.

The co file and data file is created for 10 support packages but not for the 11th patch. I have checked the permission, re downloaded the support packages, re set the queue, changed r3tans and tp to latest version, updated SPAM-SAINT. But no help.

Can you please suggest?

can you please post your experiences with installing and setting up PI 7.3 & Pi 7.4.

I'm trying to determine the effort to setup PI 7.3 and PI 7.4 and want to know if it is days or weeks of effort for a fairly skilled administrator.

With installing and setting up the scope is a clean install, initial config and one connection to ECC and no mappings etc.
