Download Manager - Windows 8 - Install - Failed to load DLL

Hey,

 

i have a Problem. I try to install the SAP Download Manager in Windows 8. I installed the latest JRE 7 (Version 7 Update 17) 64Bit also 32Bit.

 

When i start the Installation (install.exe) the following error occurs:

When i try it with the jar file (Java Installation) the installer starts.. but cannot find a JRE.. when i manually try to add the executbale JAVA.exe the following message occurs:

 

The selected application is not a valid Java Virtual Machine for this Installation.

SYBASE DATABASE is not starting

Hi Experts,

 

I am new to Sybase database. We are having PI installed on SYBASE database. I am trying to start the databse, Can you please suggest me.

 

in /sybase/<SID>/ASE-15_0/install/ SID.log its showing below error.

Hi guys,

 

my system environment is ecc 6.0 suse linux os and database is sybase..when i am starting database of pi system with command startdb in suse linux database is not coming up and its showing the below error what could be the reason plz help me with ur valuable solutions or any threads related to sybase database starting in suse linux...

How to split str files using DISTMON

Hi experts ,

 

I am new to SAP migration . We have requirement of migrating 3.5 TB Oracle DB from Solaris to Windows . We have 3 apps sever and one DB server .

Have listed largest 100 tables from DB02 and ran table split preparation using sapints pl/sql splitter it create whr.txt file that contains all table name with split numbers . and pass whr.txt files as table input file in split str files screen .

 

Do my above approach is correct ?

 

My queries are .

 

1. How to split str files using DISTMON

2.how to distribute split-ed STR files equally  in four apps server.

3. should I create OrderBy.txt with same content of whr.txt.

Unable to login SAP GUI for Process Orchestration/PI

I have installed the SAP Process Orchestration  on windows 2012 system with Sybase ASE database as standalone system .

 

I can login to the netweaver administrator  but I cannot login to the SAP GUI .

 

When I am clicking on SAP GUI , getting the below error.

Inquiry of ECC QA Refresh from Production

Hi All,


My SAP systems landscape involved DEV -> QAS -> PRD and my ECC has integrated with EP, BW, OpenText & others web services configured in T-code: SICF.


I am planning to perform a QA refresh from Production as the data in QA was 2 years ago data. Understand that there are few ways can achieve this QA refresh.


1) Homogeneous System Copy

2) Remote Client Copy

3) Client export from Production and import into QA


I would like to know what is the best practise to perform a QA refresh in situation of dual stack system and integrated with EP, BW & OpenText.


I assumed Option 1 (Homogeneous System Copy) is the highest risk as i am copying the whole PRD DB into QAS system, some integration configuration might still refering to actual PRD EP, BW & OpenText.


What is the best recommendation solutions to perform this QA refresh and least risk of breaking the integration configuration in SAP ECC.


Would appreciate any advise.

Error with SAPJCO and RFC

Hi there!

 

I have installed a Eletronic Invoice Application using SAPJCO version 11.

 

This application call RFC for execute a function to format a XML file.

 

But this process returns with error when call the RFC.

 

Anyone have a idea about the error below?

SICF - Service not working

Hi experts,

 

I did create a service like a lot of others in SICF.

But if I test the service it is not reachable.

 

On saving the service I always get the error SHTTP009, which is something regarding http request-handler - but I have no clue where to do what?

The service on which it is linked works and the service is activated.

 

Does anybody have some tips?

 

Port and host should be ok, as other services are working fine.

Digital signature and a private PKI

Hi dears,

We are here using digital signature with external smartcards, and the certificates stored on the smartcard were signed by an external vendor that is not anymore on the business. As we need new certificates because the old ones are getting expired we are trying now to sign the certificates with our private PKI.

 

The problem is that even after checking all that came to my mind regarding STRUST, the trust centers, and SSF it is still not working. When we try to sign any document it shows this message:ERROR.png

 

I have imported the CA certificate to the system pse using STRUST, and checked the digital signature logs, but I cannot find why it is not working, I assume that it is because the system does not see the certificate stored on the smartcards as a valid signed certificate, but I don't know why, as it was signed by the PKI CA, and the public certificate of the CA was imported to the system PSE.

 

Anyone that knows what else can I check?

Clientcopy with product pictures

Faceing following problem:

I do a client copy from PRD to QAS with profile SAP_ALL.

Product pictures arent copied. Is there a posibility to copy the pictures too?

 

Now I notice. Product pictures inserted in SE78 aren't clientspecific?

How to copy them?

I am installing PI 7.3. While installing primary application server I am getting the error at step"Abap Post Installation activities".

sql error 2289   performing INS on table DDLOG [dbsynseq     336]

***LOG BY0=> ORA-02289: sequence does not exist [dbsynseq     336]

Software Update Manager: Clean up tasks, Shadow Instance & Temp. Tablespace X

Hi Experts,

 

I wanted to know that after an upgrade activity using SUM (Software Update Manager) how should I proceed with the cleanup tasks.

As SUM uses a shadow instance for the upgrade and for which a temporary table space is required, we can release some space once the upgrade has completed, right?

 

In my case (SPS08 upgrade in Solution Manager 7.1), a temporary tablespace PSAPSR3702X of 32GB was required before execution.

So I created that in order to upgrade my system.

My upgrade went successful, and now I would like to cleanup the space that was occupied during the upgrade.

I believe that scope here for cleanup is:

1) The temporary SAP Tablespace PSAPSR3720X (32 GB), data file is under /oracle/<SID>/sapdata4

2) SUM Directory (Upgrade directory /usr/sap/<SID>/SUM, which is 21G and contains the logs,files, shadow instance)

 

What should be the approach to process the clean-up post upgrade?

 

A) Is this approach feasible?

  1. Stop SAP & DB
  2. Drop SAP Temporary Tablespace
  3. Drop SUM Directory
  4. Start SAP & DB and validate

 

I also looked up SAP note 1732061, which is central note for SUM, it talks about, Do not select "Cleanup and start afresh" before finalization.

So in the postprocessing phase after the upgrade completes and just before Finalization phase, I have selected "Continue" as per the above mentioned note during the upgrade.

B) Or is it that, if I start SUM again and I get an option in the beginning "Cleanup & Start Afresh" which shall do the necessary cleanup, though I am not really sure, if this the possible feature of SUM!

 

Which is the correct approach? Could you please suggest, as I have worked with SUM for the first time.

DB02 - Doesn´t show anything

Hello,

 

I´m facing a weird issue in SAP ERP 6.0 EHP5 with SQL Server 2005 on Windows Server.

I´m not able to see any values in tcode DB02 (for example Space - Database Size History)! Can you tell me please why? How can I see all the values/statistics of my SQL Server database?

SAP GUI refresh printer list

Hi all,

 

We have a very strange problem. SAP GUI 7.30 patch 11, on Windows 7 does not refresh its printer list.

A new printer was installed, and old one removed, but when you try to print something you see only the old

printer.

 

How is that possible?

It seems SAPGUI does not detect the new printer, or it writes the printer list somewhere, where

it has no write access anymore.

Computer restarted - nothing!

 

Any help will be apreciated

IDES with 50.000 employees?

I wanted to know whether an IDES system can be downloaded which has 50.000 employees pre-configured.

We want to release our own SAP application and would like to know how it performs with that amount of employees.

 

If there's no such system available, what would be a good procedure to create that amount of employees?

SAP High Availability after Microsoft server node restart

Hallo everyone,

Is there a way to automatically start SAP DI instances in an ACTIVE/ACTIVE Windows ASCS cluster when one of the nodes becomes available after it was offline?

 

Here is what happens in our environment (Windows 2008 R3, MS SQL 2008 R2, ECC6 EHP7). After one of the servers goes offline (say node 2) and it returns to service, it does not start the SAP DI (disp+work.exe). We have to manually do that from the SAP MMC. This means that after a server (node 2) returns from an offline event such as a restart, SAP is no longer in a HA environment. Should the first server (node 1) go offline, there is no DI started on the second server (node 2) to support end users. Is this the expected default behavior?

 

Is there a way that when a node restarts, that it can check to see if the ACSC is active, and if so start the DI? If not, then stay off line. Or is that at least a way to notify the administrators that the system is no longer HA?

Windows AD UME with SAP NW portal 7.4 with different back end user id's

Hi All,

 

We have installed SAP NW 7.4 and configure SSO for our back end systems ( ERP, BI and Solution manager ).

So we want to use it with Windows AD users as UME to NW 7.4 portal, we have configured in portal. But in the back end ERP, BI and Solution manager we have same user with different ID.

 

For example in Windows AD we have SSOTEST, same user has TESTSSO in ERP, SSOUSER in BI and USERSSO in solution manager.

 

Some where i read that we can create any number of aliases for a single user in Windows AD. But our AD admin saying that the option is not available.

 

Please suggest how we can configure for different users.
